Waikiki Apple Store Grand Opening

Hawaii's third and largest Apple Store opened at the Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikiki yesterday. Construction crews worked through the night to finish the striking metal, glass, and lava-rock facade in time for the ceremony. The store received a Hawaiian blessing and the event was celebrated with hula performances. I was second in line at 3 a.m. High-definition video covers the event from well before dawn as construction finished to following the first person through the doors.
